32 participating locations of Sport Clips Haircuts across the state hosted a two week-long campaign June 10-24, 2018 and successfully raised $ 28,354.88 to help local kids gain strength and hope through a granted wish with Make-A-Wish South Carolina.
Sport Clips locations in the Piedmont, Upstate, and the Midlands regions raised money by giving a $5.00 donation to Make-A-Wish for every M.V.P service purchased by a customer. They also sold Make-A-Wish paper stars, encouraging customers to write their name on a star to show their support for the organization.
With this donation, Make-A-Wish South Carolina will be able to grant even more wishes to children in the state who have critical illnesses, enriching their lives with hope, renewed energy and strength.
Remarking on the impact of this gift, Bill Tiller, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina said, “Make-A-Wish South Carolina is deeply grateful for the passion and enthusiasm the Sport Clips employees and their customers gave towards the annual campaign. Their kind generosity will create transformational wish experiences for courageous wish kids and their families. Well done, Sport Clips!”
Wish kid, Conner who is also a Sport Clips customer, will be on-hand to accept the check on Make-A-Wish’s behalf. 8-year-old Conner battles congenital anomalies and wished to go to Hawaii. Conner looks forward to sharing the story of his wish experience with attendees.
