Designed as an endurance event, the Trailblaze Challenge gives participants the choice of 28.3 or 16.4 mile distances to tackle the terrain of the Foothills Trail, all in one amazing day! This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiasts.
By supporting the Trailblaze Challenge, participants help Make-A-Wish South Carolina grant more wishes than ever statewide this year.
Trailblaze Challenge occurs twice a year: a Spring hike and a Fall hike. Prior to each hike there is a recruitment period where individuals can sign up then participate in a 16-week training period before the big hike.
How do I get started?
To begin your journey, you'll need to RSVP for an information meeting. These meetings are designed to inform you about the mission of Make-A-Wish and describe in-detail the weekend-long hike event. Meetings are held in a variety of locations and times to accommodate every schedule. Use the buttons below to visit current Trailblaze Challenge hike sites and begin this new endeavor.
