meet...
Byronica’s
wish was to meet her favorite singer/actress Raven. Not
only did Byronica get to spend time talking to the singer.
She also got to sit on the stage next to Raven’s
mom during the entire performance. Byronica was given
a T-shirt and VIP pass once the concert was over as well
as invited to come back and see Raven perform again.

Autumn and her family spent the week
at Disney World taking in the sights and meeting the characters.
While in Orlando the family stayed at Give Kids the World
where they enjoyed breakfast with the characters and all
they could eat ice cream. Autumn commented that one of
her favorite things was the pool at Give Kids the World
because she was able to get her wheelchair into the water.
Swimming was something that she didn’t get to enjoy
before.

Emma’s love for horses started
when she would visit her Grandpa at his farm and help take
care of his horses. When Emma was diagnosed and had to
spend time in the hospital getting chemotherapy it was
the stuffed horse, larger than Emma herself that comforted
her. When asked what her wish was it didn’t take
long for Emma to tell the volunteers she wanted to go west
and ride horses. Emma and her family spent a week at Rim
Rock Ranch in Wyoming going on trail rides, sightseeing
through Yellowstone National Park, and enjoying the great
outdoors.

Mary Kate’s wish was to go to
New York City and get an American Girl doll. While
there Mary Kate and her family got to visit FAO Schwartz,
see the Lion King on Broadway, and enjoy the sights of
NYC. The highlight of her trip was getting to go to the
American Girl museum and pick out her new doll.

Daniel loves trains therefore his
wish was to have his room redecorated with a train theme. He
now has tunnels painted on his walls, tracks to drive his
new trains on, and a train bed to sleep in. Volunteers
worked all day painting and decorating Daniel’s room
and then Daniel was treated to dinner and taken back to
see the final product. His new train bedroom!

Skyla wished to be a vet for a day. Her wish began when
her and her family where picked up at their home by a limo
and Skyla was given with her own set of pink scrubs and
a stethoscope. Skyla and her family were taken to the Riverbanks
Zoo in Columbia where she spent the day checking the teeth
of a hippo, giving a Giant Tortoise an ultrasound, and
checking the heart of the koala bear. The ended the day
with cake and ice cream with the Riverbanks staff and Skyla
was presented with a certificate for being "Vet
For A Day".
