Caroline-Keene is one of the most witty, fun-loving, positive children you could ever meet. You would not expect a five-year-old who knows what her white blood cell count should be to be so brave but throughout spinal treatments and IVs Caroline-Keene remained loving and courageous.
The “brave butterfly” (as Caroline-Keene has been nicknamed by her teacher) began to look forward to her wish to go to Walt Disney World Resort with an anticipation that built every day. The promise of her wish gave Caroline-Keene extra strength to fight for her wellness.
"It's really helped us because there are days she doesn't want to take her pills or doesn't want to go to clinic and we remind her she’s working towards Disney World," said Betsy, Caroline-Keene's mom.
When Caroline-Keene finally visited the Magic Kingdom® she celebrated her remission with her family. They celebrated each other. During visits with Mickey Mouse, riding rides, singing with Princess Elsa and dining on ice cream for breakfast, the family enjoyed being together during carefree, joyful days. Their only focus was loving and celebrating life.
