“ This is what she will remember about her A.L.L. rather than her bone marrow tests... ”

Jenna, a 13-year-old from Rock Hill, grew up listening to stories about her mother’s time spent living in London, and she often imagined living there one day herself. There was no doubt that London was calling her, so when volunteers met with Jenna, she wished for a trip across the pond!

Jenna, a 13-year-old from Rock Hill, grew up listening to stories about her mother’s time spent living in London, and she often imagined living there one day herself.   There was no doubt that London was calling her, so when volunteers met with Jenna, she wished for a trip across the pond!

Thanks to a partnership with Monograms®, Jenna and her family received the “Week in London” travel package in April of 2012.  From the moment that the plane touched down, Jenna and her family were on the go!  Between sightseeing trips to Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, and everywhere in between, Jenna was able to see all of London’s famous spots with her own eyes.  She especially loved seeing the musical “Billy Elliot” at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre.

Back in the states, Jenna has made a name for herself on the soccer field, so she could not pass up an opportunity to watch a football match in London!  As Jenna watched from the stands, she was thrilled to be a part of a crowd that loved soccer as much as she does.  In fact, she could really see herself making London her home one day.  “I loved London!  I cannot wait to go back, and I want to move there someday,” says Jenna.

“Words cannot express how much this trip meant to Jenna and the rest of our family. To have such incredible memories of London that each of us will treasure makes our entire journey end on a positive note.  This is what she will remember about her A.L.L. rather than her bone marrow tests, chemotherapy and having a port.  This vacation was a once in a lifetime experience and one that Jenna and the rest of our family will treasure forever,” says Jenna’s mom, Suzanne.
