Make-A-Wish® South Carolina has announced that William F. “Bill” Tiller of Clinton, SC, is its new President and CEO.
A native of the SC Upstate, Tiller was the Development Director for the Meyer Center for Children in Greenville and has served in key development positions at Presbyterian College and the Thornwell Home for Children. Prior to those assignments, Tiller was the Executive Director of the United Way of Laurens County.
Commenting on his new assignment, Tiller said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Make-A-Wish® South Carolina team. A major part of my life’s work has been focused on helping children in need and those with special needs. I am eager to continue with this strong organization that makes such a difference in the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions.”
Board Chair, Ned Allen, stated: “We are fortunate to have someone with Bill’s experience as our new CEO. One of the many things that so impressed the Search Committee was Bill’s deep passion for children. He and Make-A-Wish® are a great match.”
Tiller will assume his duties on Monday, April 28, 2014.
