Make-A-Wish® South Carolina today announced that Heyward Hilliard, Vice President of Operations at HMR Veterans Services, Inc., has been elected to the chapter's board of directors.

Mr. Hilliard is a 26-year veteran of the long-term care industry. He has utilized his skillset to balance cost-effectiveness and improve quality care for community members. Hilliard is also a wish dad – the parent of a child whose wish was granted by Make-A-Wish South Carolina. Hilliard’s experience as a wish parent affords him the unique ability to speak directly to wish-granting impact.
Tiller remarked, "Board members are guardians of the mission and have many responsibilities: they are policy-makers, fundraisers, strategic thinkers and ambassadors. I’m excited and profoundly grateful to have a professional as accomplished as Heyward join our board and move our mission forward."

Hilliard graduated from Erskine College with a with a degree in Psychology and Business Management. He is an active member of the American Health Care Association, South Carolina Health Care Association and the National Association of State Veterans Homes.
Mr. Hilliard is a four-time recipient of top Administrative honors with two leading long-term care corporations. He provides leadership training in health care and offers key customer service focus tips for new team members. His leadership will be a valued addition to the Make-A-Wish South Carolina board of directors.
