Hiking Makes Wishes Come True
Wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival. There is a tremendous gap between the number of wishes Make-A-Wish grants today and the number of wishes we need to grant. Even a small contribution can transform the lives of children with critical illnesses. There are few experiences more powerful than making a wish come true and by participating in Trailblaze Challenge, hikers discover the journey of a wish in a life-changing parallel view. They make an great impact on our community and wish kids, like Rob.
Quotes from Trailblazers
"Good way to look at the miles on Saturday too. Each mile should be our favorite. Because each mile is a mile closer to one of the best accomplishments we'll ever have. Each step is a step in the right direction. Each dollar raised is closer to granting another wish. Each wish is closer to changing another life. No finish lines. Always our favorite step, dollar and wish to keep pushing towards." - Matthew Wall - retread Alum
"I cannot begin to describe what the past 16 weeks has meant for me. I have been challenged not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally to push through every wall and climb every hurdle to accomplish something far greater than simply 28.3 miles. This entire experience has taught me so much about myself and my capabilities and I will carry those lessons with me for the rest of my life. If you want to truly understand what I'm talking about then I encourage to sign up and let this amazing organization and group of people change your life forever!" - Madeline Jean Brown - Alum
