Why was Wishes in Bloom turned into a virtual event?

In an abundance of caution and for the health and well-being of our community, we made the decision to make Wishes in Bloom a virtual event. This was a challenging decision made as concerns about the coronavirus grow, and local public health officials urge people not to attend large, public events. We know many of you were looking forward to Wishes in Bloom. We look forward to celebrating our life-changing work on the same date and invite you to join us from the comfort and safety of your home.

How will this impact your ability to grant wishes?

Our signature events are critical to our mission. This year, we budgeted approximately 26 wishes would be granted thanks to the support of Wishes in Bloom.  Due to COVID-19 our chapter has already had 38 wishes delayed and that number continues to grow each month.  Those kids need us to still make that support happen. We do not want any child to unnecessarily wait even a day. So, your attendance and support of our virtual event helps make a difference for kids whose wishes are waiting.

When will Wishes in Bloom take place?

Wishes in Bloom will take place on the same date: Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 7pm.  We look forward to celebrating with you soon!

What if we can’t attend virtually?

You're an important part of the Make-A-Wish family, and we hope you’ll be able to make it. However, we understand that everyone has different technology capabilities in their homes.

You are not required to have a Facebook or YouTube account to view the event live. You will need an account to post or interact on the social media channels if you'd like to do that. If you do not have an account and would like one, here are instructions on how to create an account: Facebook and YouTube.

If you purchased a ticket and are unable to attend on May 17, 2020, we ask that you please consider donating your ticket sale to Make-A-Wish in lieu of requesting a refund. We guarantee that your donation will impact the lives of children who need us.

Can I invite more friends to view the event?

Yes! This normally sold-out event is now available to everyone thanks to being live streamed. Simply have your friend follow our event page for the latest updates and information.

Will you accept new sponsorships?

Yes! Wishes are possible because of the generous support of our community. In short, we couldn’t grant wishes without you! If you’re interested in finding out more about sponsorship opportunities for Wishes in Bloom and beyond, please contact Karen Lucht at xyhpug@fp.jvfu.bet

How can I receive more updates?
